Someone sits down with a barbed needle and a pile of loose wool, and stabs it. Thousands of times. Slowly the fibres tangle and compress until a sheep has a body, then a face, then a coat you want to put your thumb into. It takes about twelve hours for one mobile.
No molds, no machinery, no two identical. The cow’s black patches land in a different place on every one. We can only finish a few each week, which is why yours is made after you order it rather than pulled off a shelf.
